Animal Friends is a no-kill shelter in St. Marys, PA.  Looking to adopt a furry friend?  Stop by and meet some of our animals who are just waiting for a warm lap to snuggle on. Animal Friends is unique in that most of the animals are allowed to roam free throughout our building except those who are sickly, newborns, or who are not yet adapted to a social environment.  We work with the cats who may be wild or frightened in order to adapt them to living in an adoptive home.  Most are spayed or neutered and have some necessary vaccinations.  All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia virus (FeLV) as well as de-wormed, flea-treated, and vaccinated for distemper and rabies.  Most (but not all) are spayed or neutered.  Because of the cost we incur to keep our orphans healthy, there is a minimal adoption fee for our pets.  We do occasionally have dogs, please call for availibility.

We're open for adoptions from 2-4 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.  All other times by appointment.  At this time we are being inundated with calls.  If you leave a message on our answering machine, please be patient, we will return your call as soon as possible.

Can't adopt?  How about sponsoring one of our little Friends! A minimum of just $15 a month will provide care for any cat you choose from our kitty page. Click HERE!

Price of adoption is $65 per cat or kitten. Kittens must be spayed or neutered when they become old enough. We request that proof be brought in after the procedure and you will receive a $25 rebate. We keep the cost minimal, but enough to ensure that our cats get great care.

Our fees are extremely reasonable when you consider that a vet will charge around $85 just for the spay/neuter procedure.
Animal Friends hopes you will also visit the Cameron County SPCA website to view dogs and other cats who desperately need homes.  Click on the logo above.
